NVIDIA Blackwell

At the GPU Technology Conference, NVIDIA introduced the Blackwell platform, heralding a new era in computing. The NVIDIA Blackwell platform promises to significantly reduce costs and energy consumption, running real-time generative AI on trillion-parameter models at rates 25 times more efficient than previous models.

Featuring six groundbreaking technologies in accelerated computing, Blackwell aims to revolutionize various sectors including data processing, engineering simulation, electronic design automation, computer-aided drug design, quantum computing, and generative AI. These areas represent key growth opportunities for NVIDIA.

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, emphasized the company’s long-standing commitment to accelerated computing over the past three decades, with the aim of facilitating major innovations like deep learning and AI. “Generative AI is the defining technology of our time, and Blackwell is crafted to power this new industrial revolution,” said Huang. He added that by collaborating with leading dynamic companies, NVIDIA plans to fulfill AI’s potential across all industries.

Notable organizations anticipated to implement Blackwell include Amazon Web Services, Dell Technologies, Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Oracle, Tesla, and xAI.
